Product Description
Fleur de sel is obtained by hand harvesting the young salt crystals that form on the surface of salt evaporation ponds giving the Fleur de Sel its characteristic crunch and clean light taste. This exquisite salt is hand harvested and is considered to be queen of all salts by the famous chefs and cooks everywhere.
We procure our Fleur de Sel directly from farmer owned cooperatives ensuring the highest quality and consistency. Our Fleur de Sel is collected at a single source located in Brittany, France.

 A nice addition to cooking June 7, 2010

This is a new product for me. Made pan seared sea bass the other night and sparingly finished it off with fleur de sel. The salt flavor jumps out at you as you crunch the small granules. Excellent flavor. Won't use regular salt again. Have used it on beef and salmon also. Love it.

I WAS DISAPPOINTED IN THIS PRODUCT.
IT IS SUPER SUPER SALTY...LIKE KOSHER SALT(CHEAPER CERTAINLEY)
I HAD IT MIXED IN A CHOCOLATE BAR THAT I PURCHASE. THERE IT SEEMED MUCH BETTER.
ON IT'S OWN.. WELL, MELTING ICE WITH THIS STUFF WOULD BE A BETTER MODE FOR IT.

This salt has a great flavor. And, a little goes a long way. I was very pleased with my order from DAS Salt/DAS Foods - fast shipping, great product, pleasant thank you note and samples included with my order. Although it's not inexpensive, an order of gourmet salts is well worth it from this company. I will be trying other varieties soon.
